thanks for drinking that wild turkey. I just skied pow
Hey boys and girls, thought you might enjoy this.
As worried as everyone is about the snow, whether it be legit or early-season-hyper-hormonal-snow-condition-emotion-anxiety, all is not lost.
Well I am sure some people have had some sick turns in already, Kicking Horse itself has just become active in the last few days. After a weak jib setup saturday and an all night facebook session saturday night (that made me witness the snow storm pick up), we were up early to skin up the hill. 11:45 we leave town (who calls in a tech to mount up skis before they going skiing, really?).
Two and a half hours we are in the BC surrounding Kicking Horse. The snow is fairly heavy (damn interior folk kept calling it west coast snow, silly boys) but we are stoked. Did I mention the snowblader hiking up the mountain on snow shoes? I tried to forget about that. What the fuck?
Do a lap or two, find some lighter spots, and some aspects with over boot deep snow, run into a legendary mountaineer. All in all a very good day.
Happy Shredding.
PS. Jamie I saw a doglotion sticker on the wall behind the bar at the strip club in town so I put a sweet pic beside it. Pics to come. Randomly awesome.
Ya buddy! get some. We still haven't changed the hiking boots for ski boots yet here in Squamish.
Props to Golden for plastering strip clubs with doglotion stickers! Let's see some pics!
I just have to polish my photo-taking-in-strip-club skills. apparently it's frowned upon
